We all want to know how to get Stacie’s abs…head over to Quick Tips for more on that…but we also want to know how to get Stacie’s trademark waves! Here’s her quick how-to and what you will need.
Steps:
1/ GET WET. After a good wash, use one of my favorite products Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray lightly on the middle to ends of the hair. Scrunch it. This product is a saltwater-based styling spray that adds volume and texture to the hair to create a sexy, wind-blown feel. Its salt-infused formula adds fullness, hold, and a cool, matte finish. Salt water is no secret to editorial stylists for adding volume and texture, and anyone who has been in the ocean knows of that salty, sexy, sun-dried, wind-styled feel (that seems such a shame to wash out). So while Bumble and Bumble hasn’t exactly bottled the real thing, they’ve replicated and improved it, including seaweed and kelp extracts to enhance moisture.
2/ ENHANCE YOUR TEXTURE. Stacie loves to use what the pro’s use, why not? She uses a professional grade hair dryer with a diffuser to minimize frizz. TIP: If you find you are getting a lot of frizz, add a little Moroccan Oil to the ends (it smells good too!)
3/ BRING ON THE BEACH WAVES: Create waves by wrapping random strands around the barrel of a clip-less curling iron, focusing on the area from the root to the mid-shaft. Leave your ends free and style your hair away from the face – this will give you that natural, windswept kind of look you’re after – and you’re done. So easy and it looks effortless! TIP: To loosen the curls even more, run your fingers through your hair, flip your hair, shake it out and oo-la-la!
